About the role

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Backend Solutions Architect to design, build, and operate large-scale, high-throughput backend services powering mission-critical workloads. This is a 100% remote, United States–based opportunity to join a technology consulting and software development company delivering cloud, AI, data, and enterprise solutions across the United States.

Summary: You will architect and implement distributed backend systems, focusing on scalability, reliability, performance, and clean software practices. You will balance trade-offs between consistency, availability, and latency, and mentor engineers while collaborating with SRE and platform teams.

Responsibilities

Design and implement large-scale distributed backend systems using Java, Go, Scala, or similar high-performance languages.
Architect data partitioning, replication, and consistency strategies for various workloads.
Build resilient APIs and event-driven services with observability, idempotency, and graceful degradation.
Optimize latency, throughput, and cost using profiling, benchmarking, and load testing.
Lead architecture reviews, technical design discussions, and trade-off analyses.
Implement robust failure-handling patterns including retries, timeouts, circuit breakers, bulkheads, and saga workflows.
Design and operate data stores at scale (relational, key-value, document, and search engines).
Build observability into services with structured logs, metrics, and distributed tracing.
Drive incident response and post-incident learning for critical backend services.
