About the role
Role: Customer Support Specialist – Remote in Portugal
We are seeking a German- and English-speaking Customer Support Specialist to join an established international company. You will be part of the Platinum Team supporting premium customers of a leading Swiss telecommunications provider. This is not traditional first-level support; you will accompany customers from their initial question to resolution, assisting with technical issues, billing questions, and the selection of suitable products.
After a Welcome Day in Lisbon, you will work fully remote within Portugal.
Responsibilities
Candidate profile:
- Handle German- and English-speaking Platinum customers by phone.
- Answer questions about Internet, mobile, TV, roaming, and invoices.
- Analyze customer inquiries and independently find appropriate solutions.
- Take ownership of each case without unnecessary handoffs.
- Identify additional needs and recommend suitable products or services.
- Use multiple internal systems and carefully document customer contacts.
- For complex cases, receive direct support from experienced technical colleagues.
- This position is inbound-only; there is no cold-calling.
- Very good German language skills; English at least B2.
- Some experience in customer service, call centers, or phone-based customer contact.
- Enjoy advising, problem solving, and occasional upselling.
- Comfortable using computers and multitasking across several programs.
- Structured, reliable, and independent work style.
- Empathy and calm under pressure, even when a customer is unhappy.
