Responsibilities include managing transportation projects that involve bridge rehabilitation and replacement components from concept development through final design and construction support; leading multidisciplinary teams including roadway, bridge, traffic, geotechnical, and environmental staff; serving as the primary point of contact for clients and maintaining strong relationships to ensure satisfaction; overseeing the development of plans, specifications, estimates, and supporting technical documentation; coordinating with transportation, bridge, geotechnical, roadway, and hydraulic engineers to develop integrated project solutions and delegating structural design tasks as appropriate; reviewing and ensuring compliance with AASHTO, DOT, and local agency design standards; managing project schedules, budgets, and quality assurance processes; providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers; supporting proposal development, client presentations, and business development initiatives; and conducting site visits, inspections, and structural assessments as needed.
