Cloud Engineer II participates in the design and administration of cloud-based infrastructure, working with Cloud Architects and cross-functional teams (Web, Database, Storage, Networking, IAM, Information Security) to align solutions with current and future business requirements. The role supports multiple deployment models including manual, scripted, DevOps, and CI/CD/IaC methodologies, and collaborates with Information Security to ensure compliance with cloud security standards. Responsibilities include monitoring emerging cloud technology trends, researching new products, demonstrating applicability in real-world contexts, and providing matrix-team support to development projects to resolve complex problems and keep projects on schedule. The incumbent will engage in the SDLC for new systems and major improvements, evaluate new software packages for cost and capability, and liaise with vendors and third parties to implement improvements and meet SLA commitments. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, or information technology (or commensurate experience); typically 3–5 years of IT experience with at least two years of cloud support experience across IAAS, PAAS, and SAAS; experience with Azure Subscriptions, DevOps/GitHub, Azure Entra, Office 365 (Teams and SharePoint), Exchange Online, OneDrive for Business, eDiscovery/Compliance Management, Entra Connect, and related infrastructure deployment and user management tasks.
