SMSI LLC is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support a client at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). This on-site role is based in Los Alamos, New Mexico, and involves managing discrete construction scope, ensuring timely completion of project elements, and leading or supporting the project team through initiation, planning, execution, turnover, and closeout. Responsibilities include aligning project activities with National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) and Department of Energy (DOE) 413.3B requirements; organizing work into control accounts and work packages; reporting to the Manager of Projects; developing, implementing, and evaluating construction policies and standards for a nuclear facility; supporting budget development and monitoring; providing technical guidance to project teams and matrixed resources; and coordinating with radiological control, safety, and operations groups. Travel may be required both short and long term. Requirements: Prior nuclear facility and/or laboratory experience with security/classification protocols in a DOE/NNSA setting; active DOE Q Clearance and US citizenship; extensive experience in construction within secure nuclear environments. Work planning and controls experience and strong coordination/communication skills are preferred. Education: Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
