Makino is seeking a System Software Support Engineer to configure, install, and support Makino's digital products, including cell controller software systems and machine monitoring software, integrated with customer facility networks. The engineer will set up Windows-based PCs at both Makino Mason site and customer locations, configure Makino machining centers for compatibility with the digital products, and manage data such as NC programs to support deployment. Responsibilities include providing on-site and remote technical support, working with customers to define requirements for automated machining systems, and performing testing, debugging, and training of Makino digital products. The role requires strong Windows OS knowledge, TCP/IP networking, IT responsibilities, SQL and PostgreSQL experience, and familiarity with Fanuc CNC controls. Travel up to 70% is required after initial training. A two-year associate degree in engineering or computing or equivalent experience is recommended. The position involves collaboration with sales, service, and engineering teams, and participation in developing installation documents following Makino MAP procedures. This is an on-site role located in Mason, Ohio, United States.
