You will design, build, and operate the foundational platforms and cloud environment that power Airbnb services, with a focus on Kubernetes infrastructure, autoscaling, capacity management, and cloud automation. You will deliver secure, scalable, highly available frameworks and tools, including developer APIs and CLIs, and collaborate with a global team of infrastructure engineers. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of industry experience with a BS/Masters and 2+ years with a PhD (or equivalent), deep Kubernetes experience at scale, and strong expertise with AWS, GCP, and Azure IaaS. Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes, a full-cycle developer mindset, and excellent communication are required. Location: United States; Remote OK with possible on-site visits as agreed with your manager.
