About the role

Veza is seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to lead critical infrastructure initiatives and drive reliability across our multi-cloud platform. You will architect scalable cloud and SaaS infrastructure, deliver automation to reduce manual work, and guide incident response with a focus on long-term improvements. You will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Customer Success, communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, and provide technical leadership during customer deployments. Responsibilities include leading enterprise-wide reliability projects, implementing SRE best practices, building automation, participating in on-call rotations, and ensuring security and compliance across cloud environments.

Responsibilities include leading enterprise-wide reliability projects, implementing SRE best practices, building automation, participating in on-call rotations, and ensuring security and compliance across cloud environments.

Qualifications: US citizenship required; role may require federal security clearance. BS in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent practical experience). 7+ years in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering. Proven track record leading large-scale, cross-team infrastructure projects. Hands-on experience with AWS (VPC, EC2, RDS, EKS, CloudFormation), Kubernetes, Terraform; strong GitOps experience; monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog; programming/scripting in Python, Go, or Bash; deep understanding of distributed systems and reliability patterns. Experience with Bazel and CueLang is a plus. Experience implementing compliance-as-code patterns and automated compliance scanning/remediation. Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work across time zones; comfortable working in ambigu
