The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, performing general ledger entries and reconciliations, and supporting the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Additional duties include bank reconciliations, cash flow monitoring, budgeting support, payroll processing, fixed asset maintenance, audits and tax preparations, ensuring GAAP compliance, and providing financial reports to management. The role also involves assisting with accounting software implementations and collaborating with other departments to ensure accurate financial information flow. Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or engineering; strong GAAP knowledge; proficiency with QuickBooks, Sage, and Excel; excellent analytical and communication skills; attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team; payroll knowledge and familiarity with job costing are highly desirable.
