Mirantis is a Kubernetes-native AI infrastructure company that enables organizations to build scalable, secure, and sovereign infrastructure for modern AI, ML, and data-intensive applications. We are looking for an Infrastructure Software Engineer to design and implement the control plane for our GPU-as-a-Service platform. You will build the APIs and provisioning workflows that enroll bare-metal servers, provision them, and assemble them into multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters on high-performance hardware. You will own the full lifecycle of infrastructure services—from the Server and MachineType APIs to provisioning workflows and reconciliation loops that keep the platform's view of hardware in sync with reality.

Key Responsibilities: - API Design: design, build, and maintain versioned REST and gRPC APIs for bare-metal lifecycle, MachineType definitions, and cluster CRUD. - Provisioning & Workflow Development: develop asynchronous workflows that drive server enrollment, OS provisioning, and cluster bring-up; expose durable status to callers. - System Reliability: design error-handling, idempotency, and reconciliation loops for long-running provisioning operations.
Qualifications: - API Development: experience designing RESTful APIs or gRPC; understand API versioning and gateway patterns. - Go: strong proficiency (preferred for backend/Kubernetes ecosystem) - Kubernetes Knowledge: deep understanding of Kubernetes primitives and controller/reconciler patterns; experience with systems like k0rdent, Metal3, and Cluster API. - Bare-Metal Provisioning: hands-on with bare-metal pr
