RevSpring is seeking a Software Engineer I - Backend to join the Health Plan Applications and Services team in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role you will develop backend services that power the member-facing experience, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance while helping design the next generation of care guidance tools. The position focuses on a backend stack including Java, AWS, and OpenSearch. You will collaborate with engineers and cross-functional partners across Product, Frontend Engineering, and Implementation to deliver a seamless, high-performing healthcare experience. Responsibilities include writing clean, maintainable production code; deploying and monitoring services in AWS; participating in code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD workflows; contributing to observability through logging and metrics; participating in on-call rotations and incident response; defining tasks, prioritizing work, and surfacing risks; owning multiple products with a DevOps and service-ownership mindset; delivering quality solutions with test automation, instrumentation, monitoring, secure/defensive coding, resiliency, and scalability; and collaborating with teams to ensure successful delivery.
