Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Data Infrastructure & Acquisition team to support data collection for model training. This remote-only role focuses on building and operating the ingestion pipeline and cloud infrastructure to acquire high-quality data at scale. You will work closely with data scientists to improve cost, throughput, and data quality, and help define the dataset roadmap for next-generation consumer and enterprise products. Responsibilities include sourcing new audio data, integrating it into the ingestion pipeline, maintaining and extending our GCP-based infrastructure managed with Terraform, and collaborating with the AI team on data strategy. Ideal candidates have a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field, 5+ years of software development experience, and proficiency with bash/Python on Linux, plus Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts and experience with at least one major cloud provider (GCP). Experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing is a plus, as are strong written and verbal communication skills.
