Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Data Infrastructure & Acquisition arm of our AI team. You will own data collection and ingestion pipelines critical to training our models, enabling petabyte-scale datasets at low cost through a tight integration of infrastructure, engineering, and research. This is a 100% remote position based in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

What you’ll do: - Identify and integrate new audio data sources into our ingestion pipeline - Operate and extend cloud infrastructure for ingestion pipelines, currently on Google Cloud Platform and managed with Terraform - Collaborate with scientists to improve cost, throughput, and quality of data to power our next-generation models - Work with the AI Team and leadership to define the dataset roadmap powering Speechify’s consumer and enterprise products

What you’ll bring: - BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field - 5+ years of software development experience - Proficiency with Bash/Python scripting in Linux environments - Experience with Docker and Infrastructure as Code; professional experience with at least one major cloud provider (GCP) - Experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing workflows is a plus - Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities - Strong written and verbal communication
