Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Data Infrastructure & Acquisition team in Porto, Portugal. This role covers all aspects of data collection to support model training, enabling the creation of high-quality datasets at petabyte scale through close collaboration between infrastructure, engineering, and research.

What you'll do: - Source new audio data and bring it into our ingestion pipeline - Operate and extend cloud infrastructure for ingestion pipelines (GCP) using Terraform - Collaborate with Data Scientists to improve cost, throughput, and data quality - Contribute to the dataset roadmap for next-generation consumer and enterprise products - Work with AI team and leadership to align data initiatives with product needs

Ideal candidate: - BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field - 5+ years software development experience - Proficiency with Bash/Python in Linux - Experience with Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code; practical experience with at least one major cloud provider (GCP) - Experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing is a plus - Strong communication and multitasking skills
