Wayve is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer for Vehicle Software to build and operate the reliability stack for our autonomous vehicle software. The Vehicle Software Engineering team focuses on reliability, observability, incident management, operator tooling, and automation that lets engineering and operations detect and resolve issues faster as Wayve scales its programs with partners. You will own hands-on debugging across Linux and low-level systems, work with field engineers, software teams, and operations to diagnose reliability issues and improve performance, and implement reliability improvements that reduce manual intervention. Responsibilities include developing tooling and automation, observability, and incident-management practices; supporting vehicle-centric operations and safety-operator tools; collaborating with software, operations, and field teams to improve detection, triage, and resolution. Your day-to-day involves writing production code in Python, C++, or Rust; debugging traces, logs, and production data; configuring CI/CD, containers, distributed systems, databases, and observability tooling (DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Splunk, Humio or similar). You should be able to work onsite in Sunnyvale, California at least three days a week. Experience with autonomous vehicles, robotics, embedded systems, telemetry, or safety-critical environments is a plus.
