GovCIO is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer with an active Secret clearance to ensure reliability, scalability, performance, and availability of mission-critical systems by combining software engineering practices with infrastructure operations. This role is based in Arlington, Virginia, United States and offers a hybrid work arrangement. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining highly available production systems, defining and managing SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets, automating operational tasks, developing monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions, improving system performance, capacity, and resilience, leading incident response and root cause analysis, implementing disaster recovery and continuity strategies, and partnering with development teams to improve application reliability. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of infrastructure or cloud engineering experience; 5–10+ years of engineering experience with Linux and Windows systems; expertise in Kubernetes and container platforms; experience with cloud infrastructures; proficiency in Python and Go; hands-on knowledge of Terraform and automation tools; familiarity with monitoring platforms and incident management; experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines. Preferred: Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, and DevOps certifications; ITIL certification preferred; active Secret clearance and ability to obtain DEA suitability. Salary range: USD 230,000.00 - USD 250,000.00 per year.
