Responsibilities include designing and maintaining highly available production systems, defining and managing SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets, automating operational tasks, developing monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions, improving system performance, capacity, and resilience, leading incident response and root cause analysis, implementing disaster recovery and continuity strategies, and partnering with development teams to improve application reliability.
