This role builds and maintains foundational services and SDKs that power Speechify’s product experience across platforms. You will collaborate with Product Teams to scope projects, balance UX tradeoffs, and deliver cross-platform solutions via our Kotlin Multiplatform stack. You’ll ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin, and you will optimize functionality for faster loading and smarter parsing by designing efficient abstractions and algorithms. Ideal candidates think in terms of end-to-end system design, move quickly while staying focused in a busy remote team, and collaborate with designers, marketers, and PMs. Preferred tech: Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience OK), with Google Cloud Platform experience a plus.
