Senior Data Platform Engineer to own and operate the data platform powering wetter.com’s weather and climate data products for B2B and B2C customers. You will develop and operate innovative products with our backend team, data scientists, and product owners (e.g., public and private APIs, webhooks, ML training and prediction pipelines, and AI pipelines). You will participate in the full software development lifecycle from concept through prototyping to production. You will define, set up, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using modern cloud infrastructure. You will actively shape the evolution of our data and AI distribution architecture and evaluate necessary tools and technologies.

What we look for: - Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent qualification. - 2–3 years of experience setting up and operating infrastructure and pipelines on AWS. - Strong Python programming skills with hands-on experience in AWS Serverless. - Familiarity with Spark, Terraform, and Databricks. - Experience and/or interest in API design, developer experience (developer portal, webhooks), and shipping data-driven products to external customers – ideally with hands-on experience in - Experience coding and automating with AI, and interest in applying AI/LLM frameworks to build faster and smarter. - Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and in a team. - Motivated to take ownership, share knowledge, and experiment with new approaches.
