About the role

Thales is seeking a Hybrid Infrastructure Engineer with DevOps skills to join the IRIS2 program in Bucharest, Romania. The role involves configuring and administering the project environment, including on-premises container orchestration, in line with Thales software development practices, Agile methodology, and GitLab pipelines.

Responsibilities

Required Skills & Experience: Nice to have: Behavioral and mobility:

Maintain and manage dedicated project networks from an infrastructure perspective.
Negotiate with stakeholders to determine the best technical implementations for customer requirements.
Advise the engineering team on capabilities and timelines of future implementations.
Contribute to the design of components of larger systems.
Produce detailed architectural documentation related to existing infrastructure.
Share knowledge and support less experienced colleagues.
Solid virtualization skills (VMware, Virt-manager).
Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes orchestration, and on-prem cluster administration.
Linux administration (primarily Red Hat Enterprise Linux).
Networking experience in multiple project contexts.
Scripting capabilities (shell, Python).
Implementation of security and compliance policies and applying security patches.
Ability to follow technical procedures and create technical documentation.
Experience with DevOps tools: GitLab, Artifactory, Ansible, Terraform.
CCNA and RHCSA certifications.
Clear communication on technical issues; ability to manage incidents across multiple teams and cultures.
