Role overview: This Infrastructure Engineer role sits in the Product & Technology function in our Amsterdam office, where a team of over 300 professionals designs, develops, and scales products used across the Benelux markets (Marktplaats and 2dehands/2ememain). You will join the Infrastructure Engineering team to build, maintain, and scale our cloud infrastructure. The team currently consists of seven engineers, including a dedicated Infrastructure Architect.

What you will do: - Build, operate, and scale production-grade cloud infrastructure with a focus on reliability and performance. - Own the full stack from Kubernetes orchestration to deployment pipelines, balancing cloud-native best practices with live production realities. - Manage, scale, and optimise Kubernetes clusters and container workloads across environments. - Drive Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and modern abstractions to reduce cognitive load for product teams. - Improve deployment workflows, pipelines, and GitOps practices using ArgoCD and GitHub Actions. - Manage and optimise databases (AWS RDS) and related services. - Focus on reliability, scalability, security, and cost optimisation; participate in incident response and on-call rotations. - Collaborate closely with senior engineers and the infrastructure architect; receive mentorship
