Franchise Accountant. Based at the Christian Brothers Automotive Support Center in Houston, TX, this hybrid role provides up-to-date financial statements and monthly accounting support for up to fifteen franchise locations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of multi-tasking with strong organizational and communication skills.

Key responsibilities include: - Prepare and analyze financial statements for franchise locations. - Perform month-end closings in line with CBAC guidelines. - Reconcile bank and credit card statements. - Conduct heavy G/L reconciliations, including A/R, A/P, fixed assets, and accruals. - Prepare account analyses and reconciliations for month-end close. - Answer inquiries from franchisees on accounting issues and procedures. - Prepare sales and use tax returns; analyze balances. - Reconcile discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information. - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements. - Reconcile inventory. - Prepare property tax renditions. - Manage intercompany billings, payables, and reconciliations. - Payroll assistance when required. - Support special projects as assigned.
