Key Responsibilities: - Manage Field Editors and receive copy by monthly deadlines to prepare for print. - Identify and develop new Field Editors as needed. - Serve as the Editorial Department point of contact for the Digital Editor and Social Media Manager. - Supervise contributor-generated content, including how-to articles (600–700 words) with images; produce 5 columns per issue. - Correspond with the cooking columnist on recipes and seasonal topics. - Receive and file press releases for new products; prepare 3–4 short items with photos per issue. - Handle department editing of short-form pieces for Special Interest Publications. - Contribute a monthly feature article to the magazine and to Special Interest Publications. - Attend industry functions as needed (ICAST, Miami Boat Show, etc.). - In-Design editing tasks (copy trimming, captions, proofreading) as required. - Compile Table of Contents, sidebars, and other supporting material for each issue. - Travel to industry events as delegated; this role may involve travel.
