Brain Corp, a San Diego, California-based AI company building autonomous robotics technology, is seeking an Engineering Manager, Cloud for a remote role. The Cloud Platform team ingests data from a global fleet, powers fleet operations, and underpins customer-facing applications. As Engineering Manager, Cloud, you will lead a team of cloud engineers, own the platform roadmap and delivery cadence, and shape architecture to scale. You will manage hiring and onboarding, drive production reliability and cost efficiency, oversee on-call and incident response, and partner with Platform, Apps, Autonomy, Product, and GTM teams. You will provide architectural guidance for high-availability distributed systems and collaborate with Principal and Staff engineers to set technical strategy. Requirements include a BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in cloud/backend, including 2–3 years in people management; a track record of delivering production cloud services at scale, ideally in robotics/IoT or large-scale distributed platforms. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, cloud-native patterns, containers, and infrastructure-as-code is preferred, with practical knowledge of GCP (GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, BigQuery) or AWS/Azure. US-based with time-zone alignment to a predominantly US team; experience in robotics or IoT is a plus.
