Overview: We are looking for a Data Engineer who is fluent in German to join isolutions and help shape the future of data engineering. This role is based in Barcelona, Spain with a hybrid work arrangement and the option to work remotely from anywhere in Spain.
What you will do: Design, develop, and implement data solutions for diverse customer environments using Microsoft technologies such as Azure Synapse, Databricks, Azure Storage Account (Data Lake), and SQL Server. Build robust data pipelines with Python and SQL, and apply DevOps practices to support CI/CD pipelines and version control. Employ data modeling concepts like snowflake and star schema and create insightful visualizations with Power BI. Collaborate with the DATA & AI team distributed across Switzerland and Barcelona on high-end projects.
What you should bring: At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies. Proficiency in Azure Synapse, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Storage Account (Data Lake), and SQL Server. Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, plus experience with DevOps practices for data engineering. Familiarity with data modeling concepts (snowflake and star schema) and the ability to visualize data effectively with Power BI. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. German language proficiency at B2 level or higher, and strong English communication skills for collaboration with colleagues and clients. EU citizenship or a valid Spanish work visa.
