Capital Project Manager Work arrangement: Hybrid

Houston Parks Board (HPB) is seeking a Capital Project Manager to lead the design and construction management of park and trail projects, including renovations of existing parks and the creation of new assets. The Capital Projects team, which brings together architecture, engineering, GIS, landscape architecture, and real estate professionals, will partner with internal departments and external community stakeholders to deliver nearly 50 projects across Houston's greenspace network.

Key responsibilities include overseeing planning, design, and construction from inception to completion; managing procurement and consultant/contractor selection; coordinating with departments such as Land Acquisition, Conservation & Maintenance, Community Engagement, Development, and Accounting; and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. Additional duties include budget tracking, reporting, quality assurance, and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
