Bloom Energy is seeking an Automation Engineer, Advanced Manufacturing to join our Fremont, California team. This on-site, five days a week role reports to the Senior Manager, Advanced Manufacturing and focuses on designing, building, testing, and launching proprietary manufacturing automation systems. Responsibilities: - Lead design and supplier management of custom automation systems for Bloom's manufacturing process. - Lead and support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) of Bloom equipment. - Collaborate with process and design teams to define equipment specifications. - Apply engineering fundamentals to automation and process design. - Collaborate with New Product Introduction (NPI) and Product Engineering teams to refine product design and improve manufacturability. - Oversee the equipment development lifecycle from concept to production. - Oversee equipment build and test processes. - Ensure equipment quality assurance throughout development and implementation. - Coordinate with facility and maintenance engineers to install and support equipment in the factory. Qualifications: Minimum qualifications: BSc or higher in mechanical, physics, or a related engineering field; 2+ years of experience in equipment design, automation, and integration in high-volume manufacturing or scale-up; strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software systems; experience with supplier management and remote team collaboration; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to travel internationally up to 15%; familiarity with process engi
