This Assistant Project Manager will oversee the day-to-day activities of a team providing contract operations, maintenance, and management of multiple wastewater treatment plants. Responsibilities include developing new plans and programs to improve service quality and reduce costs; planning major capital improvements and identifying funding sources; preparing annual budgets and monitoring revenue and expenses against budget; maintaining records and preparing reports; interviewing, training, coaching, and mentoring personnel; assigning and scheduling work; administering progressive discipline to improve performance; establishing positive working relationships with the project director and clients; ensuring compliance with City, County, State, and Federal regulations; and other duties as assigned. Qualifications include a high school diploma (college degree preferred); valid driver's license; 5+ years of supervisory and operations experience in wastewater operations; active state-issued Operator license; strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills; detail-oriented; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; relocation reimbursement may be available.
