We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects in a high-risk environment at the Fawley Refinery, near Southampton, United Kingdom. The role involves assisting with scheduling, budgeting, reporting, risk management, and coordination of site activities, acting as a key interface between clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget. What Youll Be Doing: Develop project plans, schedules and resource allocation; coordinate day-to-day site and engineering activities; monitor progress and identify delays or risks; ensure compliance with technical, safety and quality requirements; track budgets, costs and forecasts; drive productivity and continuous improvement; document and report project status. Support identification, assessment, and mitigation of project risks; ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and client standards; assist with quality assurance, inspections and commissioning; monitor Health, Safety and Environmental compliance on site. Maintain strong engagement with clients and subcontractors; prepare project reports, presentations and progress updates; coordinate site engineers, designers and subcontractors; support collaboration, accountability and training of junior staff.
