Morgan Advanced Materials is seeking an Assistant Controller based on-site in Fostoria, Ohio. The role supports the Controller with accounting functions, month-end close, and financial analysis across manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include managing accounting processes, preparing timely month-end closings, analyzing standard vs actual costs and variances, maintaining standard cost systems, and ensuring accurate inventory valuation and production reporting. The assistant will prepare budgets and forecasts, provide meaningful analysis of actual results versus budgets, assist with audits, drive cost savings and process improvement opportunities, and support internal controls and regulatory compliance. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent (Master’s degree and/or CPA a plus), 5+ years of relevant experience, and eligibility to work in the United States. Proficiency in GAAP and IFRS, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel is essential, along with strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
