We are seeking an Assistant Controller to join our growing Financial Operations practice. The Assistant Controller will be a valuable member of our client delivery team based in Austin, Texas, with on-site engagement at client sites as needed. What You’ll Do: Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective clients; coordinate with Financial Operations and other practice areas to ensure excellent delivery; assist with reconciliations, month-end close, preparing clients for audits, cleaning up their books, and integrating merger and acquisition data; interact directly with client contacts (CFO, Controller) and their staff; provide project status updates, feedback, and insights into client challenges for the delivery manager; embrace flexibility and take on tasks outside your comfort zone. Skills You’ll Need: Required: 5–8 years of hands-on full-cycle accounting experience; B.A. or B.S. in Accounting or Finance; strong desire for consulting-style work and customer service; industry experience in startups, technology, software, oilfield services, insurance and Big Four/public accounting is highly preferred; experience with monthly close procedures and monthly/quarterly financial repo
