The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years of hands-on full-cycle accounting experience, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and cash management, as well as monthly close procedures and financial reporting. A solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, experience researching technical GAAP issues, and the ability to prepare or review monthly reconciliations are required. You should be comfortable working in a small-to-mid-sized company environment and be able to adapt to various client environments while communicating effectively at all levels. Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Great Plains, or Intacct, and strong Excel skills are preferred. A CPA license or MBA is a plus, as is prior experience with Big Four or public accounting firms, and revenue recognition knowledge is advantageous.
