Assistant Community Manager is responsible for providing comprehensive support in all aspects of on-site community operations at an affordable housing asset. Key duties include leasing and occupancy management, inventory, budgeting and reporting, property management, rent collection, customer service, maintenance, and administrative tasks. This on-site role supports the Community Manager in achieving occupancy goals, ensuring compliance with LIHTC, HUD, TDHCA, and other regulations, and delivering responsive service to residents.

Responsibilities

Consistently achieve property occupancy goals; ensure lead-tracking follow-ups and data entry; assist in conducting leasing tours, answering leasing calls, and processing online inquiries; respond promptly to resident requests; assist in designing and implementing resident retention programs; maintain inventory and order administrative supplies; ensure timely reporting and submission of forms; report unusual or extraordinary circumstances; assist in regular on-site audits of tenant files for compliance; assist in annual audits of work orders, unit turnaround times, EIV requirements, reasonable accommodation policies, move-ins/outs, recertifications, lease renewals, interims, denials, waitlists, etc.; escalate non-compliance issues; assist with lease audits, housing inspections, and follow up on citations; ensure the community remains compliant with all regulations; support the Community Manager with interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, and personnel management tasks; pursue educational opportunities for personal growth; pa
