GPJ is seeking an Art Director to join our growing team in Boston. This hybrid role requires on-site work at the Boston office for at least two days per week. The Art Director will lead strategically grounded creative ideation and translate it into innovative experience design that clearly communicates with internal and external teams. As an Art Director, you will tell stories through words and visuals, shaping attendee experiences across client touchpoints, and collaborate with our Creative Director and other team members to meet client objectives. You will lead and mentor the creative team, oversee designers, ensure high-quality, on-brand work, and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines. Travel is expected, approximately 3-5 trips per year domestically and internationally. Responsibilities include translating clients' brands into interactive experiences, producing print-ready graphics, developing pitches, and presenting ideas to clients; leading the design process across multiple brands; managing budgets and collaborating with production teams; ensuring design integrity and adherence to brand standards. Requirements include proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Google Suite, a passion for learning new software and tracking trends such as AI-based tools, strong communication skills, agency experience, 3+ years of design experience and 1-2 years of supervisory experience, and the ability to travel up to 25%.
