About the role

Acto is seeking an AI Engineer (m/f/d) to join our Agents team and help build the next generation of agentic AI systems powered by large language models. This hands-on role spans the full agentic surface, including chat, meeting preparation, recommendations, and voice, and involves designing robust decision pipelines and ship-ready agents for both text and voice modalities.

Your Mission - Design and optimize agentic workflows using LLMs across chat, meeting prep, and recommendations. - Build tool-using agents that interact with external APIs, databases, and environments. - Advance our voice agents with pipeline design for real-time conversation, transcription (ASR), speech synthesis (TTS), turn-taking, and dialogue management, emphasizing low latency and reliability. - Integrate memory and state, including retrieval, long-term memory, and state tracking, into agent architectures. - Deploy in production in collaboration with product teams and maintain agent health. - Design experiments to evaluate performance, correctness, latency, and hallucination rates. - Translate high-level product requirements into scalable, testable agent features.

Your Profile - Voice AI (important): Hands-on experience building voice agents in production and working with ASR, TTS, or real-time streaming voice pipelines. - LLM Expertise: Strong experience with LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, Mistral, open-source models). - Agentic Frameworks: Familiarity with agentic frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph). - Programming Proficiency: Proficient in Python and modern ML tooling (Hugging Face, PyTorch, Ra
