Responsibilities include providing project managers with the resources needed to complete projects; creating work plans and estimates for specific disciplines; ensuring work products meet client requirements and company standards; providing engineering and technical support; executing the QA/QC process for the structural engineering discipline; ensuring proper staffing levels and department utilization; managing staff resources including annual reviews, timesheets, and expense report approvals; assisting Human Resources with recruitment and training; supporting business development activities such as preparing presentations; and participating in various trade organizations. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (preferred); 8+ years of structural design and project management experience across healthcare, sports, commercial, public sector, industrial, education, and/or institutional projects; P.E. license preferred; strong knowledge of building codes; proficient knowledge of standard construction practices; experience addressing issues with contractors; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; ability to mentor/train staff and promote career growth; and working knowledge of design/analysis software (Revit, AutoCAD, RISA, ADAPT).
