Our volumetric modular buildings are produced in our Andover, MA microfactory, with a growing pipeline across North America and a new microfactory on the way. We are looking for a CAD Automation Software Engineer to develop Onshape-based automation features (FeatureScript and API-driven) that power our CAD-to-fab workflow from design to the factory floor. The role is hands-on; you will prototype with coding agents and modern AI tools, collaborate closely with design engineers, and ship tools that remove repetitive manual work from the team's daily tasks. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining custom Onshape features that run in production, augmenting Onshape workflows via APIs, expanding our MCP atop Onshape APIs, and building automated code-compliance checks (outlet placement, egress, tempered windows requirements). You will work with interdisciplinary teams to raise efficiency and throughput across design and manufacturing. Qualifications include a BS in computer science or electrical engineering (or equivalent), 2+ years of general software engineering experience (Go, Python, C#, including automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring and debugging), and hands-on experience with parametric design and building custom features/plugins in CAD platforms (Onshape, Autodesk Fusion, SolidWorks, etc.).
