HR Manager – Rancho Cordova, California, United States (on-site)

We are hiring an HR Manager to lead HR Operations and design the people practices to scale from about 150 to well over 600 employees in the coming years. You will own employee relations, compliance, benefits, leave, payroll coordination, HR systems, and policy administration, and you will lead a team of two HR Generalists. This is a build role focused on creating structure and internal capability rather than maintaining existing processes. You will report to the Director of HR & Talent and partner with operations, engineering, finance, and executive leadership.

What you will do - Lead the HR Operations team: coach, develop, and mentor the Lead HR Generalist and HR Generalist; set service standards and priorities; build scalable workflows. - Own employee relations and manager support: act as escalation point for employee relations; conduct workplace investigations; coach managers; ensure consistent policy application. - Ensure compliance: ensure practices meet federal, state, and local employment laws; administer policy updates; maintain records; run HR audits. - Manage benefits, leave, payroll coordination: oversee benefits administration; manage leave and return-to-work; coordinate payroll inputs with Finance and external partners; ensure data accuracy in HR systems. - Improve systems, data, and processes: support HRIS, data integrity, governance; build reporting on turnover, retention, employee relations, leave, onboarding, and compliance; drive process improvements; ensure tickets are tracked and resolved
