The DevOps group owns tooling and automation for deployment, monitoring, and management of Care.com’s services, providing 24x7 operational support to engineering teams and ensuring compliance and availability. As a domain expert, you will take ownership of key parts of the infrastructure, guide standards discussions, and collaborate with architects to design and implement core platform capabilities. Lead engineers mentor junior teammates and help ensure delivery of team priorities. You will develop and maintain infrastructure as code on AWS, participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation, and produce high-quality documentation of infrastructure and architectural standards. Qualifications include 5+ years of experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, CDK), strong Linux command line skills, experience with CI/CD toolchains, solid AWS, Kubernetes, and HashiCorp Vault knowledge, proficient Python and Bash, and excellent written communication. Salary range USD 150,000 – USD 170,000 per year.
