The Office of Innovation & Technology (OIT) is the central IT agency for the City of Philadelphia, led by the Chief Information Officer. OIT oversees major information and communications technology initiatives to enhance the city's technology assets, return on investment, data security, and continuity of operations for the city’s businesses, residents, and visitors. Responsibilities include identifying effective approaches for implementing new IT directions across city government; improving the value of technology assets and ROI; ensuring data security continuity; planning for continuing operations in the event of disruption of IT or communications services; and supporting accountable, efficient government across every city department, board, commission and agency.

This Project Manager role, under the general direction of either the Director of Projects or a Program Manager, leads and directs high-priority projects that often require substantial resources and cross-functional integration. In the Public Safety PMO, you will support IT solutions for the City’s Police, Fire, Prison, and Office of Emergency Management agencies. There are multiple projects in the pipeline across agencies to support the safety of the City of Philadelphia. The Project Manager will follow the OIT PMO guidelines and manage projects through all phases of the project lifecycle, from intake through closing.
