The role involves debugging timing, synchronization, and execution issues; validating software interfaces with hardware instrumentation; and authoring automated regression suites for test equipment. You will collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to integrate rack automation and ensure logging, traceability, and auditability of all automated processes. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Software, Computer, or Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of test automation/HIL experience; 2+ years of test automation/HIL experience and 3+ years of software scripting (Windows PowerShell and Linux Bash). The candidate should have a strong understanding of the SDLC and testing methodologies, proficiency with Git and CI/CD, and knowledge of performance and security testing techniques. Additional skills include Linux server management with scripting and troubleshooting, hands-on Docker experience, and familiarity with Python and LabVIEW for test automation and hardware interfacing. Experience with IP networking in a software integration context and aerospace software validation standards is preferred. Preferred qualifications: Master’s in Computer or Electrical Engineering; prior aerospace or avionics software I&T experience; familiarity with NASA test documentation standards.
