Senior Software Engineer – Redmond, Washington (hybrid). Microsoft is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and operate highly scalable distributed systems powering mission-critical experiences across Microsoft 365 IC3. You will develop secure, observable, and compliant services, leverage AI and telemetry to boost engineering productivity, reliability, and customer experience, and drive automation, testing, validation, and modernization across cloud services. The role requires in-office work at least 3 days per week in Redmond, Washington. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 4+ years of engineering experience (or equivalent), proficiency in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, and experience with cloud platforms (Azure or similar). Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree and 6+ years of experience, or a Bachelor's with 8+ years of experience; experience building and operating large-scale cloud services; observability, DevOps, SRE practices; and experience applying AI/ML to improve engineering productivity and reliability. The base pay range for this role across the United States is USD 119,800 to USD 234,700 per year, with higher ranges in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metro areas. This position is open for applications on an ongoing basis.
