Group Accountant – Munich, Germany (Remote OK)
Responsibilities
Qualifications:
- Independently prepare and further develop the monthly group consolidation in accordance with HGB and support IFRS topics.
- Analyze and ensure the quality of the reporting packages for our international subsidiaries.
- Ensure high data quality, including plausibility checks and root-cause analyses of deviations.
- Independently align complex accounting and consolidation issues with local finance teams and external advisors.
- Perform and document consolidation entries (intercompany, equity consolidation, currency translation, etc.).
- Support annual and group financial statements and serve as contact for auditors.
- Integrate new entities into the group closing and reporting processes.
- Further develop our accounting and closing processes and the LucaNet landscape.
- Create work instructions and documentation to standardize processes.
- Contribute to group-wide finance projects (M&A integration, process harmonization, reporting standards).
- Several years of professional experience (minimum 4–5 years) in group accounting or statutory audits with a focus on group financial statements.
- Strong knowledge of group accounting under HGB; IFRS knowledge is a plus.
- Solid experience with consolidation software, ideally LucaNet.
- Proficient handling of complex accounting and consolidation issues.
- Very good Excel skills and high IT affinity.
