Position: Principal Cloud Engineer
Designs, implements, and optimizes large-scale, cloud-based database systems to ensure high availability, security, and performance for enterprise applications. Automates the deployment and migration of PostgreSQL and Oracle databases into Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure. Works with Oracle, PostgreSQL, Cockroach, Yugabyte, MySQL, SQL Server, and MariaDB. Modernizes automation capabilities, crafts new end-to-end deployment solutions, and migrates business unit partners to new data services automations in AWS and Azure. Develops end-to-end applications using Python, PowerShell, Shell Scripting, Ansible, Terraform, Go, Ruby, and Perl. Leverages CloudFormation, YAML, Vault, Bitbucket, Artifactory, CloudWatch, and DataDog to determine performance metrics, event monitoring for infrastructure and cloud services, enable automated CI/CD, and collect logs, metrics, and events. Builds, tests, and deploys software applications using pipeline automation tools — Jenkins, Jenkins Core, uDeploy, and Concourse. Primary Responsibilities:
