North Carolina Department of Public Safety is seeking a Future Operations Program Manager to join the North Carolina Emergency Management (NCEM) FuOps planning cell. The role focuses on advancing long-range planning, readiness, and continuous improvement across all phases of the Division, integrating situational awareness, stakeholder coordination, and strategic analysis to anticipate operational challenges, identify resource gaps, and inform decision-making for future operational periods. Responsibilities include coordinating with internal staff, functional leads, and external partners to validate planning assumptions and align future operations with state leadership priorities; facilitating regular coordination meetings; maintaining shared situational awareness; producing clear, actionable reports and updates for senior leadership; tracking lessons learned and ensuring continuous improvement across programs; supporting training, exercises, and accreditation efforts; and maintaining centralized documentation and planning products. The position represents NCEM at planning meetings, trainings, and exercises statewide, and during activations serves within the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) with emphasis on information flow and timely documentation. Additional duties may include data analysis and the preparation of Situation Reports, Incident Action Plans, and Operational Briefs. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and three years progressively responsible related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Salary range: $60,881.00 - $106,544.
