About the role

APTIM is seeking a mid-level Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) to provide health, safety, and industrial hygiene services for commercial, industrial, and retail client sites. Responsibilities include performing exposure assessments, air monitoring, risk assessments, hazard evaluations, control recommendations, and regulatory compliance support; conducting health and safety audits to evaluate facility compliance with OSHA and applicable federal, state, and local requirements; maintaining knowledge of regulatory developments, technical best practices, and industry trends; and supporting business development by assisting with proposals and reviewing technical deliverables.

Basic qualifications: CIH credential required or strongly preferred; bachelor's degree in industrial hygiene, occupational health, safety, environmental science, public health, or related field; advanced degrees preferred. 8–10 years of safety, industrial hygiene, EHS or consulting experience; experience in consulting, project delivery, and technical report preparation; deep technical knowledge of OSHA/Cal/OSHA or equivalent regulatory frameworks; strong written and oral communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, SharePoint Online, and the ability to learn other software.

Preferred credentials: CSP or other relevant professional certifications; state or industry credentials related to asbestos, lead, mold, hazardous materials, or related specialties.
