We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team. The Staff Accountant will assist with monthly financial analysis, develop and maintain department budgets, and generate cost reports. The role will also collect information for third‑party audits, oversee financial reporting and operations, and serve as the first point of contact for accounting issues.
Essential duties include: - Prepare accounting entries for registers, journals and logs. - Adhere to the company’s established accounting processes. - Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations. - Maintain detailed reconciliations of balance sheet accounts. - Provide analyses and explanations of transactions. - Prepare documentation for external auditors. - Prepare sales and use tax returns and other government filings. - Perform ad hoc duties as assigned.
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent work experience). - 2–5 years of accounting or related experience. - Proficient in Word, Excel, and accounting software. - Strong written and verbal communication s
