IPG is seeking an R&D Engineering Manager to lead the development, transition, and integration of new technologies and process platforms from R&D into production on-site in Marysville, Michigan, United States. You will provide engineering leadership and people leadership to the R&D process team and manage process and product development projects, while promoting safety and a culture of accountability. Responsibilities include coaching the R&D team, setting direction and execution rhythm, aligning priorities with Operations, Quality, Sales, EHS, Supply Chain, and Finance, managing vendor relationships, overseeing the technology pipeline and asset management, driving continuous innovation, applying Design of Experiments, statistics, and analytics to plan experiments, maintaining rigorous technical documentation, and using project management to meet milestones. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, a preferred Master's degree, 10+ years of engineering experience with 3+ years supervisory experience, and strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience with extrusion, mixing, coating, and packaging processes is preferred. The position may involve working with a union and complying with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
