Speechify is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop applications using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, and XAML. You will define and enforce best practices for Windows desktop development, drive accessibility, and collaborate with product designers, QA, and other stakeholders to shape feature planning and long-term roadmap for the Windows platform. You will own features end-to-end from conception to release and maintenance, diagnose complex issues, and optimize performance and reliability across Windows 10/11+. This is a remote role based in Sweden (Gothenburg). The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in Windows desktop application development with Windows App SDK/WinUI/C#/XAML, deep understanding of interop between managed and native code, and a track record of delivering production-quality desktop software. Strong experience with accessibility APIs and a user-centric mindset are required; mentoring experience and the ability to communicate tradeoffs across cross-functional teams are valued. Preferred qualifications include automated UI testing, performance optimization, localization/globalization, telemetry and crash reporting, and experience with CI/CD for desktop apps.
