The Program Finance department partners with the business to provide analysis, insight, and guidance to enable strategic program decisions and improved bottom-line results. This Financial Analyst role, located at the Quonset Point, RI Facility, supports the VIRGINIA Construction Program Finance team. Responsibilities include performance measurement and variance analysis, tracking bi-weekly construction progress, reconciling Budget Change Requests, reviewing the Estimate at Complete, and creating and updating daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports. The position also supports Manpower and Operating Plan development, shop order control, and broader financial analysis. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Mathematics, Economics, or Statistics/Analysis. Preferred qualifications include 2+ years of related experience, prior Electric Boat experience or internship, project management experience, Earned Value Management experience, Government contract cost control experience, knowledge of EB Systems (Mainframe, MRPII, Purchasing and Inventory, Oracle), experience reporting and analyzing financial data, and experience with Power BI.
