Flow Traders is seeking an Engineering Manager in Amsterdam to lead the Product Development teams as the firm scales. Engineering Managers are responsible for the people and delivery aspects of the organization—planning, performance, culture, and hiring—working in close partnership with technical leads who own architecture and hands-on delivery. You will be measured on the engineers you develop and the outcomes your team delivers, spending the majority of your time leading people and managing delivery. Based in Amsterdam, or willing to relocate, you will own the team’s roadmap, manage priorities and sequencing, and drive delivery in line with company goals. You will develop engineers through career planning, coaching, and structured, continuous performance management; lead hiring, headcount planning, and resource allocation in line with the team’s roadmap and the firm’s priorities; cultivate a healthy team culture, morale, and productivity, and address conflicts constructively. You will lead with rhythm—holding regular one-on-ones, giving clear feedback, and investing in team building.
